Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
  • 1-3 years experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, Profit Protection, Operations, Safety, Logistics, Leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains communication and partnership with DC & Corporate Teams to ensure compliance to directives.
  • Responsible for participating in the hiring, training and developing of the Loss Prevention & Safety Teammates and Group Leads.
  • Actively participates in Field Operations and Safety Teams conference calls.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and in-service update trainings.
  • Conducts DC walkthroughs with LP and operational teams to develop partnership and awareness.
  • Validates LP teams capabilities in regard to work product and team participation, supports training of team.
  • Supports prompt & successful completion of multiple administrative tasks (audits, assessments, call lists, recaps, etc.).
  • Surfaces potential process deviations that will require updates to Operating Procedures.
  • Supports the coordination of the overall Loss Prevention and Safety programs within company guidelines.
  • Engages with team and leadership to continually promote personal development.
  • Provide coaching & feedback to achieve goals in maximizing results.
  • Develop schedules and track attendance for the LP department and 3rd party teams.
  • Supports Loss Prevention & Safety Teammate's and Lead's with their tasks as needed.
  • System expert in Warehouse Management Systems (WM / BOREAS).
  • Integrates themselves into new developing technology and becomes the matter expert.
  • Works closely with Inventory Management for inventory preparation at the Distribution Center.
  • Coordinates specialized variance reduction meetings in regard to top variance locations.
  • Able to poll inventory reports and develop action plans to address areas of concern.
  • Support Field Operations and Safety Managers with Inventory Variances from assigned DC.
  • Supports LP Team within their scope as needed, and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Conduct internal investigations (theft, dishonesty, policy violations, human resources) in the DC.
  • Conduct external investigations related to cargo theft to and from the DC's.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly audits and lane inspections/carton scans.
  • Reconcile data for Seal Verification reporting.
  • Review inventory adjustment details in order to research high dollar losses.
  • Partner with Federal Authorities in relation to Firearms control and reporting.
  • Conduct surveys of any perspective 3rd party facility to assess potential liabilities and losses.
  • Supervise or co-ordinate supervision in person and remotely of off-site locations to mitigate losses.
  • Monitors Loss Prevention, Operations and vendors for overall safety compliance; escalates as needed.
  • Actively attends and participates in Safety Committee Meetings.
  • Trains Loss Prevention, Operations and 3rd party guards on emergency protocols.
  • Conduct weekly / monthly / quarterly Safety Assessments to ensure overall safety compliance and reports findings.
  • Quarterly performs self-site assessment to validate and update any changes in site security.
  • Perform monthly percentage verification of LP team audits for accuracy and completeness.
  • Respond to and investigate all instances of suspected associate dishonesty and reported trailer/cargo thefts.
  • Partner with 3rd party carriers to minimize and resolve inbound/outbound freight losses.
  • Responsible for security screening all people entering/exiting the facility per DSG requirements.
  • Test, troubleshoot and respond to all alarm systems (burglar, Fire & Amarok).
  • Complete building walkthrough multiple times throughout daily shift.
  • Conduct and/or support investigations in regard to concerns or violations of the physical security of assigned location.
  • Yard Management system expert, orientates new yard personnel to safety and security.
  • Assist guard shack as needed with inbound/outbound trailer procedures.
  • Provide direction to 3rd party staff.
  • Drive LP TEAM new hire onboarding; maintains functional competence with all LPA responsibilities.
