About The Position

Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages. We take pride in our creative and collaborative work environment and in delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services. This role oversees the daily operations of the Crisis Stabilization Unit. This is a 24/7 Facility and may require the Supervisor to provide after-hours support and shift coverage. The Supervisor is responsible for hiring, performance reviews, ensuring adequate shift coverage and monitoring for adherence approved workflows and agency policies. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance with Department of Health, Joint Commission and other regulatory body requirements. The Supervisor reports to the Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related degree in Behavioral Health, or a closely related field.
  • Washington State Agency-affiliated Counselor Registration, or LICSW or LMHC
  • Driver's license and vehicle liability insurance

  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines and programs to meet the needs of varied client populations is desired

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selections.
  • Follows policies and procedures for corrective action relating to staff performance.
  • Provides sound supervision to all direct reports which include appropriate and frequent performance feedback.
  • Supports employees in skill development and goal attainment.
  • Completes performance evaluations in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Appropriately utilizes the Human Resources Department as needed and required.
  • Works collaboratively within a dyad leadership model to confirm that services meet or exceed accreditation, regulatory, contractual, and payor requirements, as well as internal agency standards.
  • Develops and implements timely and appropriate Plans of Correction in response to identified deficiencies.
  • Ensures the quality of clinical service delivery through clinical interventions and by partnering with clinical leadership to support the application of evidence-based interventions and treatment protocols.
  • Ensures outcome metrics are routinely reviewed, communicated, and tied to program improvement plans.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of clinical, and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable WAC and RCW requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and alignment with regulatory changes.
  • Provides direction, supervision, coaching, training and regular performance feedback to build employee skills and support progress toward goals.
  • Effectively and legally interviews applicants and makes appropriate staff selections.
  • Creates training and development plans to support new employees to be successful.
  • Completes performance evaluations in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Assists with the development of the team budget and monitors budget throughout the year.
  • Monitors program plan adherence to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Collaborates with the Human Resources Department on hiring, retention and progressive discipline issues.
  • Communicates relevant matters to direct reports timely and effectively.
  • Utilizes appropriate crisis intervention techniques for client stabilization.
  • Accurately screens for risk to self, others, property and the presence of grave disability and makes appropriate referrals.
  • Documents and reports and/or notifies as required by law.
  • Applies QPRT (Question, Persuade, Refer or Treat) principles in assessing risk and in safety and treatment planning.
  • Develops and documents appropriate safety plans.
  • Ensures a skilled and sustainable workforce by providing staff with training, development, and support resources.
  • Promotes engagement and morale to enhance retention and maintain the capacity to deliver high-quality, effective services.
  • Monitors workforce KPIs such as turnover, retention, training completion, and employee engagement scores
  • Meets attendance standards and follows call-in procedures.
  • Adheres to policies related to breaks, meals and shift start and end times
  • Listens and communicates effectively and in a manner that promotes dignity and respect.
  • Responds in a timely manner in ways that are clear and constructive.
  • Keeps others informed of relevant matters.
  • Uses the computer operating system and available software appropriately and effectively and within agency standards.
  • Follows security and privacy policies and procedures.
