About The Position

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supervisor, Commercial Property Claims to join a Commercial Claims department. The successful candidate will oversee a team of commercial property claims adjusters, manage claims, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of insurance industry designations.
A minimum of five years of commercial property claims adjusting experience.
Advanced knowledge of relevant claims statutes and case law.
Thorough understanding of handling complex, litigated claims.
Strong knowledge of claims-related terminology.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making abilities.

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise a team of commercial property claims adjusters, ensuring effective claims adjusting, litigation, and case management.
Manage a caseload of claims and conduct audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
Prepare and participate in claim reviews, and assist with training new and existing employees.
Review claims settlements and liability denials for accuracy, content, and compliance.
Collaborate with management to hire, train, motivate, supervise, and mentor adjusters.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting claims.
Promote excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including attorneys, investigators, policyholders, agents, and providers.
Demonstrate proficiency in applying claims and state auditing standards.
