About The Position

The Supervisor, Clinical position involves developing, implementing, and supervising clinical services provided by a team or unit. The role includes direct supervision of team or unit personnel, ensuring compliance with established goals and objectives for both long-term and short-term programs. The supervisor will also participate in budget development, conduct team meetings, and provide in-service training for staff. Additionally, the supervisor will monitor the condition of agency facilities, participate in grant writing, and ensure adherence to agency policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field and one year of experience providing direct services to the specific target population including one year full-time administrative/supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field and three years of experience providing direct services to the specific target population including one year full-time administrative/supervisory experience.
  • Associate's degree in social work, psychology, or related field and seven years of experience providing direct services to the specific target population including one year full-time administrative/supervisory experience.
  • Possession of an RN License from the State of Arizona and 3 years of clinical experience in a community mental health or psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development of unit goals and objectives and monitors progress toward achievement.
  • Supervises staff in the design, implementation, and assessment of treatment plans for clients.
  • Participates in the development of the unit budget and monitors revenues and expenditures.
  • Conducts team/staff meetings and participates in administrative, supervisory, and clinical team meetings.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates in-service training sessions for unit staff.
  • Provides supervision of client evaluations, including screening and initial intake.
  • Monitors the condition of agency facilities and recommends needed improvements.
  • May perform assessment, diagnostic evaluation, crisis intervention, case management, and therapeutic services.
  • Participates in grant writing, contract compliance, and program review activities.
  • Ensures adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Orients, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff.
  • Serves as liaison in communicating information between staff and management.
  • Participates in public relations activities and acts as clinical liaison with the community.
  • Plans, develops, and implements new services or modifications to existing services.
  • Provides clinical supervision for case consultation and case staffing.
  • Takes crisis calls on designated nights and weekends.
  • Provides back-up support and decision-making in emergency situations.
  • Coordinates care and services to enhance the physical and behavioral health wellness of persons served.
