About The Position

The position involves managing patient assignments and flow within an inpatient care unit. The individual will provide oversight of direct patient care to support patient and staff needs, serving as a lead, clinical resource, role model, and extension of management to uphold institutional priorities, policies, and practices. The role includes participating in performance management of staff members, coaching, preparing performance evaluations, and addressing conflicts as they arise. The position also involves facilitating timely admissions and discharges to optimize clinical capacity and maintaining daily schedule changes as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of progressive responsibility within an acute care setting required.
  • Active and unrestricted NH Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or higher per unit specific requirements.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required.
  • Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and patient families.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiates disciplinary action as appropriate.
  • Addresses conflicts as they may arise.
  • Facilitates timely admissions and discharges to optimize clinical capacity.
  • Maintains daily schedule changes as needed.
  • Investigates, performs follow up, and closes RL's.
  • Maintains tracking of department equipment for smooth operations.
  • Conducts controlled substance auditing.
  • Supports and assists in implementation and tracking compliance of quality projects.
  • Monitors and ensures CMS quality measures are up to date.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Full Time employment with a salary range of $43.71 to $61.61.
  • M-F work schedule with some weekend requirements.
