About The Position

The Clinical Lab Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of laboratory operations for andrology and endocrinology testing in the CCRM Fertility lab. This position is responsible for overseeing laboratory staff, managing workflow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The supervisor will also be instrumental in implementing quality control measures and optimizing laboratory processes to enhance service delivery. By fostering a collaborative environment, the supervisor will support the professional development of team members while maintaining high standards of patient care. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall mission of providing reliable and timely laboratory results that inform insurance decisions and improve client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related field (qualified for high complexity testing)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
  • Experience with endocrinology analyzer and andrology procedures (semen analysis, IUI prep)
  • The required skills for this position include strong leadership abilities, which are essential for managing a diverse team and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Attention to detail is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the accuracy of laboratory results.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards (CLIA, College of American Pathologists, FDA).
  • Hands on lab work as required
  • Semen analysis manual and automated (count, motility, morphology)
  • IUI preparation
  • Sperm cryopreservation
  • Hormone testing (Cobas analyzer)
  • Manage and mentor laboratory staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall laboratory efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to laboratory operations, including reports and compliance records.
  • Weekend rotation
