About The Position

Roles in the Claims organization review and adjudicate claims; determine whether to return, deny or pay claims following policies and procedures. Supervisors are responsible for achieving business results through the application of effective leadership and management processes, guided by the Company’s management philosophy. The majority of Supervisors’ time is spent on providing daily direction, coaching and oversight to a team consisting primarily of non-exempt frontline customer service staff and may include exempt-level analytical or business support staff. Essential Job Functions: Manage work to produce customer value by planning and forecasting, setting objectives and priorities, establishing goals, clarifying accountabilities, assigning work and utilizing management and financial controls. Manage levels of performance and assist with employees’ professional growth by planning and building an effective organization; communicating effectively; coordinating with others; maintaining employee morale; motivating, recognizing and rewarding others; coaching and developing others and engaging in self- development. Manage business and public relationships and situations to obtain better business outcomes; communicate effectively and coordinate with others. Develop, prioritize and implement strategy; set policies and procedures and manage creativity and innovation. Typically has shared responsibility for budget at the cost center level.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of direct supervisory experience; this includes direct experience performing management functions dealing with staffing, pay administration, performance management and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving escalated issues and barriers.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning and budgeting
  • Demonstrated experience using continuous improvement principles and tools
  • Proven inventory management skills
  • Proven experience utilizing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience working within healthcare operations or service industry
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing management plans

  • Annualized Salary Range: $59,800 - $97,100
  • Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $59,800 - $74,700
  • Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
