About The Position

The Supervisor, Claims & Recovery QA is responsible for overseeing and managing the Quality Assurance processes related to RMO operations within the organization. This role involves ensuring claims adjudication audits are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. The Supervisor, Claims & Recovery QA will lead a team, develop and implement quality control measures, provide insights to improve processes, manage the overall workflow within the department, and lead change in new quality processes and continued system and process improvement. The supervisor supports professional development by identifying growth opportunities and encouraging skill enhancement. They also align coaching efforts with established goals and objectives to drive individual and team success.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years of work-related experience required.
  • 2 years of leadership experience required.
  • Property and casualty adjuster license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • QA Platform / Audit Solution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Quality Assurance employees.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide feedback, and support professional development.
  • Provide training to staff on quality standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Complete and administer yearly performance appraisals.
  • Partner with employee on setting clear and attainable goals.
  • Promote and advocate business unit goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with broader RMO functional goals.
  • Ensures receipt and maintenance of appropriate licenses and/or certificates for themselves and all assigned staff for all states, if applicable.
  • Continuously develop talent by creating opportunities for direct reports to grow and strengthen new skills.
  • Promote a culture committed to identifying process efficiencies to continuously improve how claim adjudication audits are completed.
  • Provide supervision and leadership oversight to the assigned disciplines to ensure all job functions and responsibilities are performed effectively and within standards.
  • Oversee and manage recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for assigned disciplines in line with Allied’s best practices.
  • Give coaching and development feedback and guidance to direct reports on how to improve performance in their assigned duties and responsibilities in order to meet established goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of direct reports; execute dialogues, development plans, feedback, and follow-ups, and take actions to improve performance to support the business needs.
  • Ensure regular and clear communication to assigned disciplines on business performance, company culture & values, and organizational goals through routine roundtables and team meetings.
  • Responsible for articulating a vision that unites team members, communicating culture, modeling core values, fostering a harmonious, inclusive work environment, and inspiring and motivating their teams to consistently produce exceptional quality work.
  • Responsible for setting the tone from the top, giving overall strategic direction and vision in relation to risk and compliance.
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance standards, policies, and procedures for operations.
  • Perform regular vendor audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations.
  • Manage the overall workflow within the Claims & Recovery QA department by monitoring productivity and ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
  • Update assigned audits completed per QA employee dependent on their cross-training for business continuity.
  • Provide direction and guidance to employees to ensure the department continues to support all business units in relation to audits, procedures, research, and strategic initiatives.
  • Effectively plan, schedule, and distribute work with the assigned disciplines to appropriately balance the workload.
  • Provide training as needed to further handle the work assigned to ensure all work is being processed timely and accurately.
  • Investigate, analyze, troubleshoot, and seek out resolutions to issues presented in audits.
  • Lead change in new quality processes and drive continuous system and process improvement based on Claims & Recovery audit findings.
  • Coordinate with leadership organizationally to proactively identify existing high-risk defects or quality events and ensure that such quality events are fully assessed for root cause, containment, correction, and prevention of reoccurrence.
  • Collaborate with business units, subject matter experts, and other pockets of Allied business to establish sound practices in RMO.
  • Act as a liaison between the Claims & Recovery QA department and other areas including external vendors, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
