About The Position

UPMC Community Osteopathic is hiring a full-time Central Sterile Processing Supervisor for the evening shift (2:30 PM-11 PM). In this leadership role, you'll oversee a team and manage all daily sterile processing operations, including instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, case picking, and equipment cleaning. You'll ensure safe, efficient workflows and serve as a key resource for staff and clinical teams. Earn up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus when you join our team. Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 3 years' experience in central sterile processing.
  • 2 years supervisory or team leader experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, physicians, staff of other hospital departments, and outside contacts.
  • Must complete 10 hours of continuing education to remain qualified as a Central Sterile Technician on an annual basis.
  • Must be able to stand for all shift hours and be able to pick up, push, pull etc. 35 pounds.
  • Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution OR Certified Registered Central Service Technician with Healthcare Sterile Processing Association
  • Act 34

  • Leads and develops the sterile processing team, ensuring accurate instrument processing, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
