About The Position

The position involves coaching and mentoring a team of Kawasaki resources to ensure effective communication with the business for optimal IT application functionality. The role requires coordination with business leaders and IT management to implement strategies and technologies aligned with business objectives. The individual will ensure that KMC's business applications are utilized effectively, providing analysis and recommendations for the retirement of functions that do not deliver value. The role also includes maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, managing technology projects, and striving for high user satisfaction with applications. Responsibilities extend to authoring development standards, participating in staff recruitment and development, managing budgets, and ensuring effective stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from a four-year college is preferred.
  • 10 years related experience in an Information Technology environment.
  • Experience managing large projects through a PMO and familiarity with best practices.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a development operation with a team size of 6 or more.
  • 7+ years in applications development on non-mainframe and mainframe platforms.
  • Experience with full life cycle software implementations including SAP R/3, ECC6, and mainframe systems.
  • Wholesale/Distribution industry experience.
  • Experience with Agile or Rapid Application Development methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience coding in multiple popular web application frameworks.
