About The Position

As a valued member of our team, the Bulk Fleet Logistics Supervisor will lead and coordinate all aspects of fleet supply, maintenance, and operations to maintain optimal inventory levels and control costs. You will analyze performance and financial data to drive productivity improvements and implement process enhancements across production, maintenance, and distribution. Overseeing and mentoring staff, you will ensure compliance with safety, DOT, and OSHA standards while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
  • Able to work with all levels of company staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.
  • Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • 5+ years plant experience in an aggregate, concrete, or construction environment.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Current, unrestricted, California Class B license with tanker and airbrake endorsements.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, shipping and receiving, safety, and customer service and inventory control.
  • Plans and organizes daily production and operations activities.
  • Measure productivity by analyzing performance data, financial metrics, and activity reports.
  • Coordinate plant activities and plan driver schedules to ensure logistical objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Monitor driver performance to verify adherence to production, quality, and safety standards.
  • Manage driver personnel performance, including coaching, development, and evaluations.
  • Organize and oversee staff schedules and workloads.
  • Provides direction, development, and leadership to direct reports, and trains new employees.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Coordinates with support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly report compliance.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or adjust plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Assist with safety programs, OSHA inspections, training, DOT, and site inspections.
  • Conduct safety meetings with all drivers on both day and night shifts.
  • Maintain proper driver documentation and certifications to comply with DOT regulations.
  • Promote shop floor organization and maintain plant cleanliness.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
