In this impactful role, you will oversee the daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency and quality service. You will inspire and develop your staff, providing them with training, mentoring, and feedback. As a Person in Charge (PIC), you will be one of the point people in critical situations, de-escalating and resolving concerns to ensure safety, while promoting positive relationships. Creative problem-solving is essential, and you will address daily operational challenges, and proactively communicate with other departments as needed. Active engagement is a priority, with a minimum of 10% of your time spent working alongside employees, leading by example. Collaboration and innovation are key aspects of this role as you work closely with the library manager, assistant supervisors, and librarians to identify and address the needs and interests of our patrons. You will build and maintain relationships with community groups, schools, and organizations to increase the library's outreach and visibility.
