About The Position

The Bloodworks Bio Donations Program Supervisor will oversee the Bloodworks Bio Study Coordinators and manage research donor projects to ensure compliance with protocols and collection targets. This role involves setting project goals, mentoring staff, and maintaining relationships with donors while ensuring adherence to regulations and standards. The supervisor will also assist in developing recruitment materials and managing donor screenings, while acting as a liaison with sponsors and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a clinical, research, or program coordination role.
  • Experience handling confidential, sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with data entry, analysis, and records management, including MS Office skills.
  • Experience in environments with strong Human Subjects principles.
  • Active phlebotomy license in Washington State preferred.

  • Experience in a nonprofit or community-based organization.
  • Knowledge of transfusion medicine and blood donation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Bloodworks Bio Study Coordinators and oversee research donor projects.
  • Set project goals and objectives consistent with Bloodworks' mission.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, protocols, and policies.
  • Hire, develop, and retain successful team members.
  • Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Assist in developing research donor recruitment materials and activities.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with donors and protect their rights as research participants.
  • Prepare for site initiation visits and monitor visits from sponsors and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee donor and sample documentation for accuracy.
  • Act as project lead and report progress to Bloodworks Bio leadership.
  • Supervise and train Study Coordinators in daily operations.
  • Assist in writing SOPs and training plans.
  • Manage IRB submissions and deviations.
  • Perform phlebotomy as needed.
