As a Supervisor, Bioanalytical Services at ICON, you will oversee the daily operations of the bioanalytical laboratory, ensuring the accurate and timely analysis of biological samples to support clinical research projects. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing laboratory workflows, and fostering a collaborative environment among team members.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline such as biochemistry, chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
Significant experience in bioanalytical laboratory operations, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving collaboration in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on attention to detail and data integrity.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with ligand binding and cell-based assays including but not limited to ELISA, ELLA, other plate-based assays

Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of the analytical laboratory including direct responsibility for validating and performing assays on biological samples from pre-clinical and clinical trials as needed.
Supervising and managing the bioanalytical services team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Overseeing the planning and execution of bioanalytical studies, including validation and sample analysis for pharmacokinetics and biomarkers.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including project management and quality assurance, to ensure timely delivery of accurate analytical results.
Implementing and monitoring quality control measures to maintain laboratory standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Providing training and mentorship to laboratory staff, promoting professional development and a culture of scientific excellence.
Sets goals, assigns and coordinates tasks, ranks priorities, monitors performance, and evaluates performance.
Identifies the key elements of a situation and any gaps and inconsistencies in data.
Makes rational judgments from available information and analysis.
Participate in conference calls with Sponsors on scientific matters.
