About The Position

The Supervisor-Athletic Trainers is responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations while addressing clinical issues, advancing clinical practice guideline development, enhancing clinical efficiencies, performance management, and staff development. This role also performs other professional duties associated with the care of patients, development of therapy program services, and engagement and development of interdisciplinary teams. The supervisor is responsible for organizing the administrative and clinical aspects of athletic trainer services in the assigned departments/locations, specifically in the Rehab department at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O'Fallon, IL, working full-time 40 hours/week. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice is required.
  • 3 years of clinical experience as a Licensed Athletic Trainer is required.
  • 1 year of progressive leadership experience is required.
  • Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • HSHS requires COVID-19 vaccines or an approved medical or religious exemption for all colleagues (does not apply to 100% remote positions).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited program which meets the licensure requirements in the state of practice is preferred.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is preferred.
