About The Position

This is a supervisory position during the night shift, located onsite in the Versant Health Optical Lab in Newtown Square, PA. The hours are Monday-Friday 5:00pm-3:30am. Scope and Purpose of Position: The Supervisor, ARC, oversees Anti-Reflective Coating (ARC) departmental functions including operations, administration, strategy, budgeting, and safety within assigned areas. The supervisor is responsible for the training and performance management of assigned staff to support KPI’s.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility required
  • Experience supervising a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
  • Knowledge of process workflows, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute all activities associated with respect to quality, customer service, cost, environmental, health and safety within ARC and fill in for other assigned areas of the Optical Lab as needed.
  • Drive results and achieve operational goals and targets identified in “Key Performance Indicators” (KPI).
  • Develop and implement consistent processes and procedures to support efficient operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee improvement efforts across all areas (quality, capacity, costs, etc.), that eliminate non-value-added processes and waste.
  • Work closely with other staff members to maintain a well cross trained workforce.
  • Develop a well-trained, cross-functional team, including selection, training and development, coaching, counseling and performance management.
  • Mentor and motivate staff, maximizing individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively as a team.
  • Adhere to requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS), prescribed safety and hazardous materials handling procedures, and Federal/State laws regulating hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
  • Maintain records and report on productivity, attendance, and performance metrics.
  • Address performance issues promptly and fairly.
  • Enforce and Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with team members, practicing active listening to concerns and feedback.
  • Ensure that important information is shared effectively between management and staff.
  • Provide shift coverage as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
