Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience as a General Foreman or related experience in vegetation management related to transmission lines.
  • Applicable managerial and motivational skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Well-groomed and properly dressed, promoting a professional appearance.
  • Strong communication skills, able to hear, speak, and see.
  • Computer literate with basic operational knowledge including email, word documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Willingness to travel via ground and/or air transportation, including extended out-of-town stays during storm emergencies.
  • Must secure ISA Certified Arborist and/or ISA Utility Specialist Certification and/or ISA Certified Tree Worker Certification within one year.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the operational results of General Foremen.
  • Schedule weekly crew visits with General Foremen, providing guidance, assistance, and support.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Corporate Safety Program, including training sessions and award programs.
  • Work with General Foremen and Corporate Safety to investigate and settle accident claims efficiently.
  • Ensure high-quality arboricultural work is performed at all times.
  • Ensure equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and purchasing policies are completed properly.
  • Maintain continuous contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all customers' contract specifications and requirements.
  • Maintain open communication with the Division Manager regarding operational activities.
  • Review and/or estimate fixed price lump sum bid work.
  • Contact potential customers as assigned by the Regional Vice President or Division Manager.
  • Understand and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend internal and external training courses to improve job-related skills.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Division Manager or Regional Vice President.
