About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of the Director Nursing in the Operating Room, this position will plan and execute the work of the Anesthesia Technicians. Provides direction and training to the Anesthesia Technicians in the OR/Anesthesia settings. Responsible for Point of Care testing for Perioperative staff and Anesthesia staff including Anesthesiologists and CRNAs. Coordinates support activities. Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of anesthesia technician or related anesthesia/OR experience.
• Requires a BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
• Must have knowledge of asepsis, sterilization, anesthesia equipment, and supply management.
• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment and assemble/operate complex equipment.
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
• Must have technical knowledge and skills to operate, troubleshoot technical procedures, and evaluate others.
• Must have sound communication skills to interact with diverse groups.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory or progressively responsible work-related experience preferred.
• Prefer certification as an Anesthesia Technician.
• ACLS and PALS are preferred.
