Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Previous work experience in an airline or airport capacity such as sales and operational phases of an airline, ground handling or airport management
  • Proven leadership and analytical skills
  • Previous working experience in a team lead, supervisory or managerial role
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and days off as needed
  • Flexible to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework or college degree preferred
  • Proven work experience building constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for directing and coordinating day-to-day activities for employee equipment rooms and supplies
  • Manage and disciple based on standard procedures for employees overseeing on daily shift
  • Provide leadership and motivation to their team
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of safety, security and customer service in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Analyzes records and reports and is responsible for meeting performance targets which may include departure dependability, baggage handling, security procedures, and customer service/ employee engagement
  • Confers with lead agents and other staff on needed items
  • Evaluates current procedures for accomplishing department objectives in order to develop and implement improved procedures
  • Ensures overall departmental compliance as well as compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and any Company or government regulations
  • Maintains the departmental budget, participates on operational conference calls, station audits and prepares various reports
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills are necessary
  • Ability to think strategically and adapt to the changing needs of the business is critical
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects in order to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated
