The Airport and Ground Operations Supervisor at JetBlue Airways is responsible for leading and developing strategic relationships with crewmembers, internal departments, and customers. This role involves overseeing the execution of airport and ground operations, ensuring safety and compliance, and providing exceptional service to customers. The Supervisor plays a key role in coaching and mentoring crewmembers, resolving escalated issues, and implementing operational improvements to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Lead and develop strategic relationships with crewmembers and business partners.
  • Oversee the execution of airport and ground operations, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Resolve and handle escalated issues with customers and crewmembers.
  • Coach and train Airports crewmembers, encouraging engagement and development.
  • Brief crewmembers prior to each shift and report relevant information to the crewleader.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement improvements for on-time performance.
  • Support management in executing operational strategy and assume responsibilities in their absence.
  • Direct and guide crewmembers through operational issues and coordinate efforts with stakeholders.
  • Stay current on qualifications and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three years of customer service, sales, or airline experience, or one year of JetBlue Customer Experience team experience.
  • Ability to stand continuously for up to four hours.
  • Proficient in written and verbal English.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Able to travel and work variable hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and fixed time constraints.
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to use handheld radios and microphones for communication.
  • Must be able to work with various forms of payment.
  • Must acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge.
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and train others.
  • One year of leadership or supervision experience, preferably in the airline industry.
  • Knowledgeable in Airport and/or Ground Operations.
  • Familiarity with Sabre and Movement Control Web.
  • Knowledge of Flight Load Monitoring (FLM) and Ground Security Coordinator (GSC).
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
