About The Position

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an APP Supervisor for the SE Division. This position is only available to full-time Advanced Practice Practitioners in the SE Division.

Requirements

  • Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty.
  • RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • AOCNP preferred.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • OR Physician Assistant with successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current NCCPA certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty.
  • Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
  • OR Clinical Nurse Specialist with Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty.
  • Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  • AOCNS preferred (if applicable).
  • Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical leadership to the APPs in the SE Division.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, and manages performance of APP staff.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
  • Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
  • Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
  • Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.
  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Provides case management for patients and their families.
  • Serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
  • May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
  • May promote/provide staff education.
  • Responsible for rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after-hour calls.
