About The Position

Core Responsibilities Supervise teams of staff accountants and review staff deliverables for accuracy while providing feedback and guidance Participate in planning and lead the day-to-day execution of the audit according to auditing standards Identify accounting issues and propose strategies to resolve them Identify areas of potential process improvement for clients and recommend best practices Think creatively to discover innovative solutions to engagement efficiency and effectiveness Build strong relationships with client personnel and serve as the client's primary contact where appropriate Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and ethical conduct Education and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major required CPA License or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a license Having passed all four parts of the CPA exam is strongly preferred. Must successfully pass a background check. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States full-time. Essential Functions Prepare high-quality work products for supervisor review. Prepare returns for more complex NFP. Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities. Build and maintain good client relationships. Experience 2-3+ years of relevant work experience. Not-for-Profit experience is preferred. Exhibit leadership skills that demonstrate strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Experience in construction, technology, manufacturing/distribution, and/or transaction services is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Effectively utilize firm audit software and research tools to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance the quality of service to clients. Effective time management and organizational skills, including supervising more than one engagement at a time. Can work independently and manage multiple assignments in a dynamic environment. Participate in training, recruiting events, and firm activities. A strong technical aptitude for accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS. Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and receptive to feedback and coaching. Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take the initiative on projects. High attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English. A positive attitude and a team player mentality, willing and eager to assist others with a can-do spirit. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related major required
