Division/Program Summary: The Division of Disease Control’s mission is to safeguard the health of New Yorkers through identification, surveillance, treatment, control, and prevention of infectious diseases, which is achieved through varied and interrelated endeavors of its seven Bureaus. The New York City (NYC) Bureau of Tuberculosis Control (BTBC) aims to prevent the spread of tuberculosis (TB) and eliminate it as a public health problem in NYC. Position Summary: The Supervising Public Health Advisor will oversee the work of Public Health Advisors, conduct supplemental case management and field investigations, assure that data is collected and accurately entered in the TB database systems, and assist with ongoing training and staff development. The Supervising Public Health Advisor will become an integral part of the field staff providing guidance and adequate supervision related to case management and contact investigation.
