About The Position

Requirements

  • NYS licensed, board-certified Physician
  • BLS certification
  • Awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential
  • Licensed Physician registered with the New York State Education Department
  • Board certified in a medical specialty- Internal Family Medicine, Pediatrics preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an active medical practice, with proven administrative/supervisory responsibilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the physical and psychosocial status of patients by means of interview, health history, physical examinations and diagnostic tests
  • In accordance with medical protocols, evaluates test findings, makes initial medical diagnosis and develops and implements a therapeutic plan consistent with the continuing healthcare needs of the patient
  • Develops appropriate primary care health regimens for patients utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach
  • Participates in planning with other staff in Primary & Specialty Care for the development and monitoring of all required services to patients
  • Assists in providing learning experiences for clinical staff and other allied health professionals
  • Provides supervision to other members of the medical team
