About The Position

As the Supervising Office Services Technician, this position will operate under minimal supervision, but with wide latitude for independent judgment within established procedures, this position plans and executes specific functions / services within the assigned Office Services functional area(s). This role may function as a Technician Team Leader over a variety of Office Services functional areas.

Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or global equivalent, and/or appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent preferred
  • Suitable and sufficient job related experience together with competence across a range of Technician tasks and skills
  • Experience and specialized knowledge in one or more primary Office Services function

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily supervision, planning, scheduling, and performance of activities and operations within assigned Office Services functional area(s)
  • Responsible for ensuring organizational equipment / systems are fully operational and inspected in accordance with established work processes (e.g., preventive maintenance schedules, etc.)
  • Identify and communicate to upper management any work process / resource improvement needs
  • Assist in the identification of and associated negotiations with outside vendors and contractors
  • Assist in the development and implementation of projects and special assignments from upper management
  • Provide support and guidance to subordinate team members in the performance of their roles
  • Manage and operate Fluor owned audio/visual assets
  • Manage and operate building access control system
  • Work closely with suppliers and vendors
  • Review contracted service plans as needed
  • Assist in technical specifications of audio/visual equipment and material
  • Manage conference room layouts and event set ups
  • Operate large scale event light and audio systems
  • Provide direct support to various building capital projects as needed
  • Must be able to work independently and have good customer service skills
  • Other duties as assigned
