About The Position
The Connecticut Department of Correction is seeking highly motivated, experienced and licensed Supervising Nurse (Correctional Facility) to join our Health Services Unit at the Cheshire Correctional Institution located in Cheshire, CT. This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position on 2nd shift. Schedule is Monday-Friday between 2:00pm and 9:00pm. Correctional nursing is the delivery of evidence-based nursing to protect, promote, and optimize health and abilities; prevent illness and injury; facilitate healing; alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response with care and respect; and advocate for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations under the jurisdiction of the justice system.
