About The Position
This position is located at the Bakersfield Investigations Office in Bakersfield. In accordance with Penal Code Section 13651, the incumbent shall conduct their duties with an emphasis on community interaction and collaborative problem solving. Under the direction of Supervising Investigator II (Area Commander), in Region III, the Supervising Investigator I performs various duties including conducting highly confidential and complex criminal investigations pertaining to internal security, employee misconduct, document integrity, public funds, and other special cases of a criminal nature. The incumbent participates as a DMV law enforcement representative in multi-agency criminal investigations and provides direct criminal investigative testimony to State and Federal courts. This is a Peace Officer position subject to P.O.S.T. requirements, and the incumbent will perform a full range of peace officer duties in accordance with the California Penal Code.
