The Supervising Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance program during the assigned shift. This includes the supervision, motivation, and discipline of 3 employees. The role handles all after-hour functions of the Society, such as temperature, lighting, power, or any other function requirements. The shift leader must possess comprehensive knowledge of all building systems, understand their hours of operation, and be capable of programming systems via the Energy Management System (EMS), while professionally managing multiple situations. Additionally, this position provides technical, administrative, operational, and supervisory support to the Chief and Assistant Chief Engineer and is designated as essential personnel.
