About The Position

The Supervising Clinician provides administrative and clinical supervision to direct care providers across assigned program sites. This role oversees staff performance, ensures weekly supervision requirements are met, maintains compliance with documentation and service delivery standards, and establishes and sustains relationships with community partners. When supervisory assignments are limited or operational needs require additional clinical coverage, the Supervising Clinician may carry a small caseload on a temporary or as-needed basis.

Requirements

  • Valid, active, and unrestricted license with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
  • Word Processing
  • Excellent Writing Skills
  • General Office Skills
  • Typing of 50 WPM
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to and work across multiple program sites, as assigned
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift 10 pounds
  • DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index Insurability Under Corporate Automobile Insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior mental health service and supervisory experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to direct care providers across assigned program sites.
  • Ensure direct care providers comply with all regulatory, contractual, and accreditation standards.
  • Conduct weekly individual and/or group supervision meetings in accordance with licensure and county requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance and Compliance Team to support documentation accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in chart reviews, audits, and corrective action processes as required.
  • Attend county-mandated, departmental, and interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with County Social Workers, the Department of Mental Health, and other external partners regarding client care and program performance.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review treatment objectives and service coordination.
  • Provide crisis consultation and intervention support as needed.
  • Carry a limited clinical caseload when supervisory assignments are unavailable or when program coverage needs temporary direct service support.
  • Ensure all clinical services provided are within scope of licensure and agency policy.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, required training, and agency initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support program operations.
