With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Supervising Carpenter to join our dynamic team. Job Overview The ideal candidate will be a hands-on trade leader responsible for supervising a small team while actively performing skilled trade work to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with specifications.

Requirements

  • Valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
  • 5+ years of carpentry experience
  • Leadership skills with experience supervising and coordinating small trade or maintenance teams
  • Hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of construction skilled trades
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for trade-related issues
  • Must present professionally and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality, efficiency, and meeting project timelines

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on carpentry work as a primary function, including installation, repair, and maintenance
  • Install, repair, and maintain all flooring types, including vinyl, wood, VCT, LVT, and carpet tiles/squares
  • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding, and perform painting, drywall installation, sheet-rock repair, finishing, and patching
  • Work with other Trades (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work as required)
  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of a small maintenance or trade team
  • Assign work orders and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
  • Monitor work quality, productivity, and project timelines
  • Coordinate with management and other departments to meet operational needs
  • Respond to emergency repairs and service calls as required
  • Complete required documentation, work orders, and reports
  • Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client needs
