The position involves performing a broad range of complex appraisal, audit, and administrative work. The individual will plan, organize, manage, and coordinate the work of a staff of Auditor-Appraisers who perform personal property and business appraisals. Responsibilities include scheduling and assigning audit workloads, reviewing each auditor's work, and assisting staff with complex areas of individual assignments as needed. The role also requires preparing an annual update of all property statements to conform with State standards, answering questions and assisting taxpayers in the preparation of personal property returns, keeping records, preparing reports, and presenting assessment cases to the Board of Appeals.
