About The Position

Excell Refrigeration, Inc. is looking for a Supermarket Refrigeration Technician II to join the team. You will be responsible for performing advanced maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems within a supermarket environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently to ensure all systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or college
  • 1-3 years' experience in supermarket refrigeration
  • Must have EPA/Universal
  • Must have a Valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain a good driving record
  • Must have your own basic hand tools
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Proactive safety attitude
  • Lift, carry, or otherwise move and position objects which may weigh more than 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex repairs and replacements on refrigeration systems including compressor changes, ESR replacements, and split condensing units.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of refrigeration equipment such as self-contained units, w alk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, and heat pumps.
  • Repair and maintain HVAC systems and energy management/control systems used in supermarket facilities.
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair calls and support stores with urgent service needs.
  • Utilize the company’s work order management system to receive and document work orders, update repair statuses, and log parts usage.
  • Operate, inspect, and test refrigeration and HVAC equipment to accurately diagnose operational issues.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of tools and parts and ensure company vehicle and equipment are clean and well-kept.
  • Provide clear, detailed documentation of work performed and ensure timely completion of service invoices and reports.
  • Follow all Excell Policies and Procedures.
  • Communicate with dispatch.
  • Accurately log time in and out.
  • Complete assigned paperwork and forms in a timely manner.
  • Maintain any information, including customer feedback with the supervisor.
  • Always be professional and courteous with customers, internal management, and peers.
  • Continuously exceeds customer expectations of service.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally while working in-store environments.
