Position Overview As a Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician, you will service, maintain, and repair commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who takes pride in high-quality work and can operate independently while representing Five Star Refrigeration with professionalism.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on commercial HVAC/refrigeration experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Technical training through an apprenticeship, trade school, RSES program, or equivalent field experience
• EPA Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and customer-focused mindset

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and supermarket refrigeration systems, including:
• Rack systems
• Walk-in coolers and freezers
• Reach-ins and self-contained equipment
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision
• Work safely and in compliance with all company and industry safety standards
• Provide excellent customer service in a 24/7 service environment, including participation in an on-call rotation
• Work with multiple refrigerants while maintaining EPA and regulatory compliance
• Accurately document service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Support additional service areas as business needs require
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
