Benton Public Schools is seeking a visionary leader to serve as its Superintendent of Schools. Our school system serves a growing community with a student population of approximately 5800 students. Requirements

  • Master's degree in educational leadership, Public Administration, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful leadership in an educational setting, with experience serving as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, or in a comparable executive leadership role.
  • Ability to attain Arkansas Superintendent licensure within 60 days of hire.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational development.
  • Deep understanding of curriculum design, instructional practices, and student assessment.
  • Ability to navigate complex challenges and drive sustainable solutions.
  • Track record of meeting ambitious and meaningful goals through management of large teams.
  • Willingness to relocate and live within Benton school district.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate, and execute a compelling vision for academic excellence and innovation.
  • Inspire and unite stakeholders around strategic goals that prioritize student achievement and well-being.
  • Design and execute a forward-thinking district strategy aligned with state and national standards.
  • Manage teams to oversee curriculum development, technology integration, and instructional practices to provide a best-in-class educational experience.
  • Promote evidence-based practices to enhance student learning and close achievement gaps and support college and career pathway preparedness.
  • Manage district resources, including a multimillion-dollar budget, facilities, and technology, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Drive data-informed decision-making to improve operational efficiency and student outcomes.
  • Foster strong partnerships with parents, community organizations, businesses, and local government to support district goals.
  • Serve as a visible and approachable leader who builds trust through transparency and collaboration.
  • Foster a culture that values fairness, access, and excellence in all aspects of district operations.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to address opportunity gaps in academics and post-secondary success and support the diverse needs of all students.
