The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the onsite production of construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing the work of craftsmen and subcontractors. This role involves coordinating activities, maintaining communication with various stakeholders, and driving construction schedules to meet project goals while upholding corporate values and ethical standards.

  • Enforce Project-Specific Safety Plan and ensure compliance with all other Nabholz and OSHA safety policies.
  • Plan and supervise Crew Leaders and craft activities, determining construction methods, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedules.
  • Coordinate assigned work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
  • Maintain liaison with Owner, Design Team, and Project Manager to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Lead in developing and implementing plans to resolve construction problems.
  • Maintain communications with Employee Services and/or Production departments to resolve disputes and correct safety issues.
  • Daily reporting of manpower, resources, safety, work progress, environmental conditions, and material delivery.
  • Document existing jobsite conditions and work progress accurately and thoroughly.
  • Understand architectural, civil, and engineering plans and specifications.
  • Maintain open communication among Owner, Design Team, Project Management, General Superintendent, and Subcontractor Team.
  • Plan and lead jobsite meetings.
  • Manage and drive construction schedules, engaging Subcontractor Team and Crew Leaders to anticipate schedule activities.
  • Administer Subcontracts to ensure compliance with contract language and provisions.
  • Provide accurate reporting of jobsite productivity, tracking quantities, man-hours, and equipment-hours.
  • Collect, accurately code, and submit all delivery tickets, receipts, and invoices for Project Management.
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience.
  • At least 5 years of supervision in commercial construction (residential experience not considered).
  • Experience in construction means, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
  • Experience in controlling and supervising large groups of craftspeople.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to speak before groups in project interviews and presentations.
  • OSHA-30 trained.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and scheduling software(s).
  • Ability to proactively develop solutions to construction field issues.
