The Superintendent at Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC is responsible for overseeing and managing commercial construction projects, particularly in the healthcare sector.   • Advocate for safety as the number one priority on the jobsite and enforce compliance with safety regulations.
  • Supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction projects in partnership with Estimating, Division Management, and Project Management.
  • Develop and implement detailed schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mind.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing project status reports.
  • Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports, and logs.
  • Oversee the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and coordinate shop drawings.
  • Procure tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work schedule.
  • Determine staffing levels and timing considering building methodology and availability of tools and equipment.
  • Recruit, hire, and direct the work of all company onsite field personnel in accordance with HR processes and procedures.
  • Prepare or oversee submission of payroll to the Payroll Department and ensure compliance with HR and Payroll policies.
  • Resolve complaints and grievances within the workforce in collaboration with HR and Legal.
  • Work with engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers to improve construction methods and resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to construction schedules by determining appropriate staffing levels and material procurement.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to monitor compliance with subcontract terms.
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and oversee regulatory inspections.
  • 4-7 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Experience as lead superintendent on at least one project.
  • Experience on projects up to $80M preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
