About The Position

The Superintendent is on-site project leader responsible for overall administrative and technical management of the construction project. Oversees the day-to-day operations of work performed including self-performed work, and work by subcontractors. Provide field technical direction and ensure compliance with contract, safety standards, and quality standards. The Superintendent is the backbone of the project site, requiring complete and thorough technical knowledge of the construction process, the ability to multi-task responsibilities, and exceed the project goals. Responsibilities

• Lead the entire field construction project from start to finish.
• Adhere to the Company Policy Manual.
• Construct the project in accordance with the plans, specifications and standard work practices.
• Maintain and secure all tools, equipment and materials on the job site.
• Organize site logistics and cleanup to present a safe, professional worksite.
• Supervise staff as assigned including self-perform foreman and trade employees, and maximize staff's performance.
• Update self-perform quantities on a weekly basis and analyze productivity.
• Review and understand detailed scope of work for all subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to risk, disputes, and claims.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure all required paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Review the Documents for potential change order requests to the owner for additional work, and work outside the scope of the contract.
• Read blue prints and make recommendations to project team for design or other changes that will enhance the quality of the project, reduce operating costs, improve on the schedule or decrease construction costs.
• Help to develop the initial overall critical path project schedule with input from the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure that all field construction activities progress according to the baseline schedule.
• Provide periodic updates of the schedule to monitor progress versus the completion date.
• Monitor and inspect onsite the progress of the project and construction activities daily.
• Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
