About The Position

Ledcor is seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to join our team for a large-scale fiber to the home project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day field operations, develops project plans, and monitors performance. Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent
• Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber installation
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
• Effective Communication and leadership skills
• Ability to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
• All applicants must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ledcor participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
• Leads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigations
• Reviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedules
• Estimates activity durations and materials for complex projects
• Working knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the project
• Participates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement and negotiations
• Will set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field team
• Provides leadership and mentorship to project staff
