About The Position

We are seeking a Superintendent to join the team in New York,. This onsite role is ideal for a senior field leader who knows how to drive major structural work in a dense urban environment while keeping safety, sequencing, and subcontractor performance front and center. It is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to play a visible role on high-value construction work.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of construction field experience
  • 10+ years of experience serving as Superintendent on projects valued at $200M+
  • Strong background in new construction and structural scopes such as piles, concrete, and structural steel
  • Experience overseeing major work in complex urban environments
  • Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods used in the U.S.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents
  • Experience coordinating union labor and multiple trades in the field
  • Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA compliance
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS HeavyBid

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on public sector, agency, or government-funded construction projects
  • Background working with city, state, or federal owners
  • OSHA certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience supporting site logistics planning and complex phasing strategies in similar markets

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day field operations on large-scale construction projects
  • Direct site activity to keep work aligned with drawings, specifications, budget targets, and milestone dates
  • Manage subcontractors and trade partners to maintain workflow, accountability, and quality
  • Build and maintain short-term and long-term look-ahead plans for the site
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and site logistics to support efficient execution
  • Partner with project leadership on phasing, scheduling, documentation, and field problem-solving
  • Review plans and specifications to identify risks, conflicts, and opportunities for better sequencing
  • Provide clear field direction and technical guidance to crews and trade partners
  • Maintain a safe jobsite and reinforce compliance with project-specific safety requirements
  • Interface with owners, inspectors, agencies, and other project stakeholders as needed
  • Support overall project delivery and take on additional field leadership responsibilities as required
