Role and Responsibilities • Oversee the day-to-day operations of specialty trade projects from mobilization to project completion. • Manage and supervise on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality project execution. • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget. • Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. • Monitor project progress, including tracking milestones, addressing delays, and resolving issues that may arise on-site. • Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and ensure that safety practices are followed at all times. • Perform regular inspections of the job site to ensure quality control and compliance with project standards. • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals. • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment rental, and labor needs to ensure timely project execution. • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to on-site staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. • Address and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts quickly and professionally to prevent project delays. • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project managers and clients. • Ensure all project documentation is up to date, including change orders, daily logs, and inspections. • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place to maintain profitability. • Promote continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies and suggesting improvements to work processes. Qualifications and Education Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in specialty trade or construction management is a plus. • 7+ years of experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role. • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management, and specialty trade practices. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, project plans, and specifications. • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety standards on-site. • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in construction management software or tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) is a plus. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
