As Superintendent, you will run the day-to-day operations on the construction site and control the overall schedule of the project. Responsible for quality control and coordination of subcontractor tasks and relationships. This role works closely with the project manager to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Education
  • Work Experience: 5+ years of proven, successful project superintendent work in the commercial construction industry for a general contractor.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employees effective listening skills
  • Analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs
  • Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
  • Procore and Microsoft Projects knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, ensuring positive relationships are built with those you come in contact with.
  • Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
  • Maintain construction schedules, identifies and solves problems
  • Order materials and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process
  • Understand the project plans and specifications
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees
  • Prepare, schedule and supervise completion of a final punch list
  • Promote job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job hazards immediately
  • Ensure all company employees and contractors are adhering to safety policies. This is a safety sensitive position.
  • Maintain an organized job site, including the construction office or work area
  • Travel to various job sites as required.
