About The Position

The primary role of a Warehouse Superintendent is to oversee the day-to-day operation of a Parts Distribution Center. The Superintendent is expected to work closely with the Plant Manager to ensure workplace safety, drive operational excellence by leading a team to consistently produce high-quality products and meet production targets. This role involves strategic focus, problem-solving, effective resource allocation, and a 'Bias for Action' to address safety and quality issues. The Superintendent will embrace a servant leadership style, focusing on team building, development, and fostering a positive work environment. Data-driven decision-making is crucial for reducing downtime and quality defects, along with a relentless focus on continuous improvement and quality assurance. The position also requires strong conflict resolution skills, building positive relationships with team members, suppliers, and union representatives, championing accountability, and collaborating with all stakeholders for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale process improvements or cultural shifts.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends.

  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology
  • Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) Experience or equivalent
