Requirements

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum 5 years previous facilities management experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions
  • Knowledge of computers
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • Participation in recognized professional association (e.g. IFMA)
  • Certified in Facilities Management and IFMA designation as Certified Facility Manager, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Enforce all building rules approved by the employer.
  • Report all tenant, shareholder, and unit owners complaints to the manager, if said complaint cannot be handled within the Superintendent’s work schedule or duties.
  • Responsible for the section, review and audit work of all outside contractors at the assigned property. Provide reports to management.
  • Conducts inspections of units, with punch sheet, prior to move-ins and post move-outs to determine condition of space. Coordinates any repairs necessary to make units available for lease. Post inspection and repairs, determines and coordinates the distribution of any security deposits funds due to prior tenants.
  • Shows units to prospective tenants, as needed.
  • Responsible for coordinating all moves in or out of the property.
  • Coordinates the purchase of any necessary tools, supplies and equipment to efficiently service and maintain the property and common areas
  • May perform minor maintenance of common areas and appurtenant structures and fitting, limited to nonstructural work to be performed in a manner and to an extent consistent with safety.
  • May perform minor maintenance and repair of doors, gates, fences, locks and associated hardware.
  • May performs general electrical, boiler room, and plumbing maintenance and repairs
  • May assist with the preparation of leases and amendments.
