Requirements

• Minimum High School Graduate.
• 5-7 years minimum experience; 2-3 years hands-on commercial roofing experience.
• Driver's License required.
• Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Scheduling.
• Must speak fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety techniques and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and supervise crew.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to train and supervise crew and subcontractors.
• Ability to read shop drawings and reproduce manufacturing details.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of how to cut, shape, fit, join, and install edge metal, insulation, and other construction materials.
• General knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in roofing.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to build relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily activities including designating material staging areas.
• Oversee and train individuals in roofing system installations.
• Manage crew personnel scheduling and issues.
• Install roofing systems in the safest, highest quality, and most cost-effective manner.
• Review job files and shop drawings with manager including scope of work and materials ordered.
• Ensure proper safety and equipment is on the job and used correctly.
• Supervise and support crew regarding safety, quality, and labor production.
• Monitor and maintain job site cleanliness and daily housekeeping.
• Prepare and submit daily job reports and time sheets.
• Responsible for overall quality control of each job.
• Coordinate punch list and job close out before crew leaves job site.
