About The Position

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent, and five (5) years of full-time related experience; OR
A satisfactory combination of education and experience of related experience.
Note: At least two (2) years of the required experience must include managerial or supervisory responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Rapid Transit power systems operations and maintenance of related power equipment.
Excellent management skills.
Knowledge of computer systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinating General Orders
Removing and restoring power during emergencies
Coordinating with Con Edison's District Operators for scheduled and unscheduled high-tension feeder outages.
Ensures the seamless delivery of 25 cycle signal power for portions of the signal system that still requires it on the IRT and BMT divisions.
Management, tracking and implementation of the comprehensive Power Substation Maintenance program
Ensure the delivery of safe and reliable third rail traction power with the primary goal to ensure that the contact rail remains energized.
Prepare paper and electronic written reports detailing emergency, operating, maintenance or any other conditions affecting subway service for senior management review.
