This position will report to our site location in Point Loma, CA Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000 Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned. As Site Superintendent, your duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Oversee daily construction activities at the work site, including work procedures and cost controls Review subcontractor scope and field coordination and perform day-to-day on-site management Prepare short-term schedule Update and oversee quality control and safety programs Monitor and implement safety programs to ensure all site personnel including subcontractor employees are properly trained in safety protocols prior to project commencement Enforce safety policies and procedures Schedule workers and oversee in-house trades and supervise and coordinate multiple contractors Manage delivery of equipment and materials to work site Ensure project conformance to national and/or local building codes Maintain accurate records and manage overall progress of the project Maintain involvement in the planning, direction, coordination and budgeting of project activities concerning the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and systems through subordinate supervisory personnel, As SSHO, your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, and site safety orientation, activity-specific training and enforcement for the Contractor Conduct daily safety and health inspections, maintain a written log which includes date of inspection, area/operation inspected, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, estimated and actual dates of corrections Attach safety inspection logs to the Contractors' daily quality control report Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime and sub-contractors Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports Maintain applicable safety reference material on the job site Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meeting, and periodic in-progress meetings Implement and enforce accepted APP's and AHA's Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution, then post a list of unresolved safety and health deficiencies on the site safety bulletin board Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals on site and their material safety data sheets

Requirements

  • Familiar with NAVFAC Task Orders, ECMS and Procore Management Software
  • Complete the course entitled “40 Hour EM-385-1-1” Safety Training within the last 5 years.
  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Familiar with Secured Space / ICD-705 Requirements
  • Familiar with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1, and experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • First Aid / AED / CPR Certification within the last 2 years
  • Ten Years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contracts
  • At least five years’ experience as a Superintendent
  • The Superintendent must have experience on similar size projects and the type of construction contracts which included the major trades.
  • As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
