About The Position

The Superintendent, Site Services ensures safe, reliable, and cost‑effective delivery of all site services in a mining and potash environment, including mine site roads, tailings and utilities support, freeze plant areas, industrial buildings, mobile equipment support, waste management, snow and ice control, and miscellaneous surface services. The role owns end‑to‑end contract management for all third‑party vendors, ensuring performance, commercial compliance, and continuous improvement. In this role you will: Responsible for supporting the performance of safe and sustained site services for the Jansen Project. This includes the oversight, management and guidance of civil haulage, snow removal, land management, building maintenance, site dewatering and runoff pond management, road maintenance activities, operation of the Sewage Treatment Plant and Water Treatment Plant as well as execution of ad hoc small projects. Responsible for environmental plan compliance, as it relates to land, air and water management, and all associated permits to support Responsible for the approval of hazard-specific work permits across all site services for operations and small construction projects. Provide safety leadership including leading Field Leadership activities and attendance at Daily Toolbox pre-start meetings to reinforces work planning and safe work execution strategies with contractor personnel. Conducts daily field inspections across work fronts and seeks contractor input for new ideas and input to strengthen the overall ongoing site services and operations for the Jansen site. Develop scopes of work for mining/potash services: mine haul roads, tailings support, freeze plant operations support, industrial janitorial, HVAC, scaffolding/insulation, waste, snow removal, security coordination. Lead RFP processes, evaluation, and contract onboarding. Manage SLAs, KPIs, performance reviews, and issue resolution. Oversee change management, invoice validation, and contract closeout.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years’ Site Services experience in mining or heavy industrial operations.
  • Demonstrated contract management experience overseeing large scale contractor activities in a mining or industrial environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Champion Zero Harm culture; lead contractor safety.
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S, environmental regulations, and mine site standards.
  • Conduct field audits, toolbox talks, and ensure contractor orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAP is considered an asset.
