About The Position

The Superintendent, Project Procurement will lead and manage the sourcing and procurement of goods and services for Nevada District capital projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement, in accordance with agreed systems and processes.  You will play a key role in promoting collaboration across functions within the “end to end” capital effectiveness process.

Requirements

  • Experienced in project procurement and supply chain management, preferably in mining, heavy industries, or capital project environments.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in procurement tools, systems, and reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in contract law, procurement regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract procurement activities for assigned equipment and services packages for North Bullfrog and Arthur projects, and the District Infrastructure Team.
  • Promote and model a proactive safety culture within your team and across the organization.
  • Support project stakeholders in implementing the desired vision, performance expectations, and team culture.
  • Encourage effective communication between key internal project stakeholders, AGA Global Category Management, vendors and contractors.
  • Ability to manage tender processes for complex goods and services procurement packages “end to end”; scope to include strategy development, agreement of bidder lists in conjunction with project teams, use of appropriate boilerplate or custom-designed Terms & Conditions, tender evaluation and negotiation of contracts in accordance with agreed AGA processes.
  • Project Management of the Procurement Schedules for Arthur and North Bullfrog Projects and District infrastructure, assuring on-time delivery for critical goods and services.
  • Supervision of EPC(M) contractors
  • Provide change management support for the Capital Effectiveness “Blueprint” and Management Operating System (MOS), currently being implemented on a District Basis
  • Act as liaison between the Project and District Infrastructure teams and Global Category Management team to leverage economies of scale and vendor consolidation opportunities across the AGA spend portfolio on a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO basis)
  • Provide input to and oversee operational readiness planning and execution, to ensure a successful transition from the project phase into operations.
  • Support the Local Supplier Development strategy implementation, in line with goals and objectives provided by Project Leadership
  • Maintain and supervise high-quality data collection and reporting, ensurng all relevant information is captured accurately.
  • Identify opportunities for risk reduction, cost avoidance, and savings, supporting project teams in delivering value.
