Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, in Parks and Recreation Administration, Business Administration or in a related field.
  • Six years of progressively responsible experience, including supervisory experience, in golf course general management, recreation, park administration, business or related field.
  • Must possess/maintain valid Driver’s License.
  • Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as General Manager of the Fred Arbanas Golf Course, overseeing all operations and aspects of this public golf facility.
  • Supervises 4 full-time positions including two Golf Course Professionals, a Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor, Concession Coordinator, and a Division Coordinator, as well as 20 budgeted seasonal positions; formulates strategy, manages a diverse staff, provides direction, and establishes policy.
  • Monitors the quality and sales of the Courses products and services to include golf equipment, apparel, and food products.
  • Provides research and analysis to ensure current facility and program trends are met within budget and operational constraints.
