About The Position

We are looking for a Superintendent - Metallurgical Engineering & Process Control to lead a team of engineers and technical professionals to optimize plant performance, enhance recovery and concentrate quality, and ensure safe, efficient operations. Reporting to the Manager - Concentrator Technical, you will: Lead and mentor a team of metallurgical and Process Control engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Oversee metallurgical and process control strategies across the concentrator, ensuring alignment with business goals. Analyze plant data to identify and resolve complex issues affecting throughput, recovery, and product quality. Drive technical excellence in flotation (Moly and Copper), grinding, and beneficiation processes. Lead cross-functional initiatives and task forces from concept to implementation. Act as a site-wide technical authority, providing guidance and support across departments. Coordinate and manage process improvement projects, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact. Support integrated operations planning (3-month, quarterly and annual cycles) with technical input and forecasting. Promote and uphold safety standards through active leadership and engagement in company programs. Develop and implement training programs to build technical capability within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the mining or mineral processing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in plant operations, process optimization, and metallurgical analysis.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools (PI OSIsoft, SQL), mass balancing, and modeling software.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred).
